Classic Spiral: a path through your photo collection

A spiral gives the eye somewhere to begin and a path to follow. Here, 100 outdoor photographs become a collection that opens out from the centre.

Actual Stickerloom artwork: 100 distinct photographs, each used once, on an A3 landscape page.

A centre, then an outward sweep

Classic Spiral places frames along a single spiral path. It suits a collection you want people to explore: favourite places, a season outdoors or a set of shared memories. The overall shape leads the eye before the individual pictures take over.

This example requested 30 mm circles with 2 mm horizontal and vertical spacing on a 420 × 297 mm page. The planner fitted the arrangement to the page, so the final frame sizes can differ from the requested size. Preview your own collection: its final layout depends on the photographs and settings you choose.

Automatic content-aware assignment can change which photograph occupies each slot. The outward path does not automatically preserve a timeline. If your collection tells a chronological story, check the order before treating the spiral as a sequence of events.

Choose the look, then review the photos

On desktop, the Photo Collections wizard follows Upload Photos, Pages, Styles, Customize and Review. Add your photographs, choose your page count, then select Classic Spiral. The Pages picker offers A4, US Letter, A3 and A5 with portrait or landscape orientation; A3 landscape matches the canvas above.

Use Customize to review the shape, spacing and framing choices, then generate a preview before creating the collection. Circles remove corners from the source image. Vectrari® Vision can help frame detected content and faces, but a small person in a wide scene may still be tiny or close to an edge.

On phone, follow Upload, Pages, Style and Preview. Assignment stays automatic; review the resulting composition before creating it. Desktop provides manual photo assignment and the fuller editing controls when you want to refine individual placements.

Look closely before choosing an export

Inspect both the whole spiral and individual crops. Our source photographs are 1080-pixel-wide derivatives; increasing export resolution cannot restore detail they do not contain. A larger physical print needs suitable source images and a proof at the intended size.

Pro adds SVG, JPEG and TIFF alongside PDF/PNG, higher-resolution export options and CMYK controls where the format supports them. Choose the format your print workflow needs, then check the finished file. Compare this path with Sunflower Spiral, or explore the same 100 photos in four layouts.

About these examples and photo sources

Stickerloom’s production analysis, planner, framing and export libraries generated this example. It is an actual export, not a wizard screenshot. The saved geometry review retained one minor tight-spacing warning; visual crop review remains necessary.

The photo credits and licence record lists the 100 original stock-photo source URLs and licence links.
